Crossway Ford Cortina MKIII

Back in the Spring of 1976, my dad took delivery of a brand new Ford Cortina Mk3 2.0 GT in Diamond White and I absolutely fell in love with it (NLX291P where are you now?). I think this was probably my favourite car and one I have been looking for ever since. I still haven't owned one!

This kit is not the GT model, but the standard 1300/1600 L model from the earlier 70's with the now classic sloping dashboard and deep binnacle dials.

The staple of the early 1970's rep, this was the third incarnation of the venerable Ford Cortina which began production in 1962, with this particular version being released in 1970.

This is a fantastically detailed model kit with over 40 superbly made parts and full instructions.

It is unmade and apart from for the pictures, it has never been out of its packaging.

The box itself is slightly marked and damaged from storage.

The benefit of this kit is that it gives you the full opportunity to create and colour a car almost from scratch, making a completely unique model. The only addition it needs is some form of bonnet stay as there isn't one in the kit.
